The Steakhouse Kuala Lumpur @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

The night version of Changkat Bukit Bintang definitely a charming hang out spot of tourists and foodie enthusiasts. I was invited to review The Steakhouse Kuala Lumpur last week, one of the premium dining joint along Changkat Bukit Bintang, the latest established by German chef Werner Kuhn, and also known as one of the restaurant under Rhine River group.

Here is the visual tour of The Steakhouse, very rustic European interior design. Dim lighting from chandeliers are main lighting, touch up with romantic candle light on dining table, perfect relaxing environment after a tiring working day or romantic dinner. Me and my hubby along for the night, and I'm going to review on dinner for two.

Whisky Cocktail in Tangerine Favor, recommended by Henry. Tangerine skin balance the whisky taste, mild taste was so easy taste even whisky beginner.

Wild mushroom soup, RM20
I am in love with the earthy taste of mixture wild mushroom. From the brownish color of soup color with some mushroom chunk in the thick soup, that's something exactly in my expectation. Stunning stuff embellishment a dash of olive oil and chives had warmed my empty stomach, it made me can't wait for the next...

Air Dried Spanish Beef Ham Served With Rock Melon, RM38

Salted paper-thin beef ham wrapped juicy crunchy rock melon, that's the way to this appetizer! Their salt-sweet taste blend-in naturally in every single bite, simply awesome and nothing much I can complain about it!

Panfried Duck Foie Gras Served With Fine Bean & Orange Segments, RM42

Here you are the main highlight of the night, what else you can miss in a steakhouse? It must not be my 7oz Chilled & Age Black Angus Tenderloin, RM98

The aged Black Angus was imported from Australia, five cuts available upon chosen (medallion, tenderloin, rib-eye, T-bone and striploin) and I have my tenderloin grilled over charcoal, a style popularized by the Argentinians. Look at my piece of medium rare Black Angus, Juicy lar! It tasted fantastic even just ate like that.

Yet, I still have my choice to try out all of sauces. Red wine was my top favor! Pick them based on your mood, they all taste above level.

This beautifully mashed potatoes flower came along with the main, it was freshly made when ordered. Healthy side dish tasted so real potatoes but nothing else. Well you still can have other choices of french fries or sauteed potatoes when you order steak.

For the other main we pick a difficult dish risotto. Risotto may be easy to cook but it's so hard to cook it right. Ossobucco Gremolata, RM68. Veal shank braised tenderly in vegetable and lemon marinate, served with saffron risotto. The reason of tasting too much sauces in previous dish, end up this one slightly light for me. Saffron risotto will be your cup of tea if you like rice cooked in slightly hard way.

Juicy veal tasted rich in collagen, all goodness for you ladies!

Ashamed to be a food blogger as I am not really a  big eater. We are pretty full when sapu all dished above (We shouldn't waste any food okay!)  Here we were to end our meal with some desserts. We had the house signature Werner's Special & Andrea's Special, RM22.5 each.

Andrea's Special, rich chocolate taste of white chocolate ice cream, milky chocolate mousse & chocolate crumble. Oh chef, I get what your meaning of: You wan chocolate? I give them all to you in a glass! Matching with chocolate ultimate partner in crime, banana. No worries over sweetness, passion fruit and pear in red wine balance the overall taste by their sourness. Discover by your own!

Fruity version Werner's Special very refreshing, upper layer made of fresh strawberry, followed by a layer of mango sauce with chocolate mousse and wild raspberry sorbet. You may have no idea how the surprise from Werner's Special until try it out by your own. A layer of sourness, a layer of sweetness with different texture, perfect full-stop of the meal.

Thanks for the warmth service of the night, Henry Siew with me,
