ONE DAY TWO LADIES HAVING AWESOME ITALIAN FOOD AT IL FARO PAVILION


The story starting from two moms escape from tiring boring housework, having some quality me-time at IL FARO. Women need to be pampered, we just want some quality moments for ourselves sometimes, no hubby, no kids, no boss, no others but just bitch talks with our girls.

Feeling great to have some wine at 3pm, our Sangrias!

Sangria (RM25), made of red wine, grand mamier, orange juice & sprite. Girls will like this, I bet!
Now they are having Happy Hour promo, whole jar of Sangria only RM65++ from 3-9pm.

My girl just complaint she lost her appetite recently causing by stress. Yes, stress kills everything. Suddenly we smell some awesome cooking scent coming from kitchen. Holy cow, it was so tempting.. How good to see rains falling from sky, listening to soothing music, smelling good food from kitchen and waiting for them to be served in such a cold raining day.

First we had sort of appetizer, the ANTIPASTI PLATTER, portion big enough for both of us. Come closer to my platter, you will see...

Grilled fresh tiger prawn, with fresh herbs! 

Beef Salami...

Fresh salmon, served best with a squeeze of lemon juice while we can't get any wasabi in Italian restaurant.

Enough for meat? We need some veggies as well. Grilled fresh button mushroom with lots lots of rosemary. It taste very juicy, not overcooked, perfect!

Three sides came along, that's my favor olives, sundried tomatoes and feta cheeeeeese!
IL FARO has four different types of antipasti platter for chosen with different main but the sides are remain the same.

They serves awesome bread. Tear it and dip with sauce (pix below) and here your satisfaction begin!


Okay what else did I have? Florentine Pizza (RM30), ingredient included beef salami, onion, capsicum,pesto,olive & egg. This dish is one of the IL Faro specialty: Fresh hand tossed pizza served with rich tomato and basil sauce.

Freshly baked authentic focaccia, not in the menu but you can order from their sandwiches.

Seafood Pumpkin Risotto (RM30), one of the must try dish. Mix seafood with roasted pumpkin and capsicum topped with parmigiano, fulled my tummy indeed!

How can I end meal with my favor desserts? Creme Brulee (RM12), oven baked custard topped with crispy Brulee sugar. Perfect full-stop with a signature classic French dessert. I was truly satisfied.

Dinner At Silver Spoon

Soft Shell Crab Salad with some greenies around. Initially I thought they are using tiny soft shell crab like we ate in Japanese restaurant. For this, the crab size pretty big yet still crunchy. Not bad!

Chargrilled Calamari Salad, very juicy squids was grilled to perfection, dressed with lemon vinaigrette & arugula. Try try try!

Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms with fresh bread crumbs, herbs & Parmesan cheese, passed!

Classic Smoked Salmon Pizza with tomatoes, onion & avocado on very thin crust. Thumbs up for this!


Our beef lasagna!

Another perfect dish Grilled Lamb Chop, lamb was tender & juicy grilled as description from the menu, side came along with sweet polenta (so so only) & greenies.

Dishes above were rated above level, worth for a try when you visit Silver Spoon. But there was a disappointment from Black Angus Rib Eye Steak (no pix). It wasn't about the way they grilled but the meat itself wasn't tasted so premium as mentioned. RM53 is not a common price to have a steak in Kepong area and I can say that dish was a failure. Reviewed based from personal taste and try at your own risk. :)
