Celebrating Valentine 2013 at Mulberry Restaurant & Bar

When I returned to Mulberry Restaurant & Bar few months after reviewed Christmas menu, now red lanterns are hanged high. We all know Chinese New Year is around the corner, but there is a romantic date hiding in February that almost left behind. Mulberry has designed a romantic menu for two on 14th February!   Lets have a look what's in Valentine meal!

Sweet Corn & Red Capsicum Soup
This creative dish was first tried of Mulberry chef. Creamy sweet corn served with chewable wanton stuffed with scallop and crab meat. To be honest I am corns-fans, so I was totally surrender to this soup, which warm my tummy in the raining night. How sinful the taste was!

Panna Cotta of Cauliflower and Porcini
Panna Cotta was known as Italian dessert most of the time, but I definitely won't reject it appear in my appetizer as it look so adorable like pix above. Panna Cotta made of cauliflower and porcini, creamy texture with rich porcini favor, surrounded by asparagus, mustard mayo, fresh petal, beetroot. Sweetness from beetroot, sourness from mayo, spicy from mustard, tasteless of asparagus, fresh scent of pedal... totally a mirror of reflection of our love journey isn't it? We have been going through sweet and bitterness in love, for those who able to dine this meal with you, please appreciate his/her.

For the main dish, Mulberry prepared two options up for choose:

Steam Halibut
or
Grill Beef Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin

Steam Halibut
Steam halibut in Miso saffron sauce, served with emperor vegetables, sauternes with wine marinated cherry tomatoes. Crispy lotus slices are bonus of this low profile dish (the other main dish more attractive for me! )

Grill Beef Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin
I would like to metaphor beef bacon and tenderloin are love birds, they rolled together lying on green peppercorn sauce. Guess what was hiding underneath haricot bean? That's potatoes with truffle timbale. I'm super love how well the taste of potato blend well in truffle! After that, balance the meaty dish with red spinach with feta cheese.

Rose Water, Raspberry, White Chocolate Cheese Cake
Pink is the color of the day. Mulberry designed this lovely dessert with rose water, garnished with glazed raspberry. White chocolate cheese cake size was just right to end this Valentine four course meal with perfect full stop.
